There are many reasons why a product might be a reject. These can range from a change in recipe, printing error, damaged stock or region specific stock that can no longer be sold in a particular region.
All this unwanted stock that cannot be sold in a retail store end up in a reject warehouse and sold at discounted rates directly to consumers in other countries.

Items come in their own original packaging and bottling and are completely sealed.
Some fragrances have been in circulation longer, so their smell MIGHT NOT last as long as the store brought items you are used to . Most reviews received from our monthly customers from the last few years estimated a time frame of between 4-6 hours longevity
DO NOT COMPARE PERFUMES PURCHASED WITH THOSE IN RETAIL STORES. The reason being:
( These are NOT your local SA store perfumes – they are imported from another country, without the consent of the intellectual property right owner – these are then sold at a lower price and without the usual guarantee and/or after sales service, and that some manufacturing plants use different alcohol bases – as mentioned below- having said this – it is not the same as the items you would purchase from local retail suppliers.
These perfumes are reject imports, so small defects might occur
In certain cases, small damage to the box might occur
In certain cases, a loose cap might occur
In certain cases, wrong branding ( for instance it would say EDT but is a EDP )
In certain cases, small scratches might occur
In certain cases perhaps older design’s of bottling or packaging might occur
THESE ARE NOT WATER BASED FRAGRANCES, ALTHOUGH THEIR CONCENTRATION IS LOWER AS THE LOCAL RETAIL BROUGHT ONES YOU ARE USED TO BUYING, SO THEIR LONGEVITY MIGHT BE LESSOR THAN YOU HIGH PRICED LOCAL BROUGHT FRAGRANCES YOU ARE USED TO BUYING – Items come in original packaging but variances and damages may exist in both the packaging and the recipe used to manufacture the items.

Please note that these fragrances should not be passed off or resold as same quality as what is currently being sold in stores. There are subtle differences and while these fragrances might last for 6 hours in certain cases the alcohol content might be less so it lasts less long which is why the price is so low.
These are rejects, and are NOT local store quality-and are NOT SA store brought fragrances – HOWEVER IS STILL VALUE FOR MONEY
(It can happen in the case of imports from other countries that the concentration of the perfume may differ to that of the local version that you find in your regular retailer. This is because they are made in different manufacturing plants. They use different alcohol bases around the world i.e. Europe uses a potato based alcohol (Vodka), France uses grape based alcohol, and the USA uses a grain based alcohol. Fragrances are also reformulated every so often, creating different vintages and batches, hence the same fragrance can differ in smell from one country to another, depending on where it was made or imported from. Therefore, in some instances, our fragrance may not last as long as the local version that you are used to.) We are not claiming that this would be the result of your purchase: But it could in certain cases be the result )

For those who just don’t want to pay over a thousand rand on perfumes or just can’t afford retail prices. But still want to feel like a million dollars, or perhaps would like to bless someone else with a gift of smell.
We can not guarantee the result of the perfume – as these are not store brought perfumes, but imported as reject perfumes and we do not check every box individually to see what’s it’s reject cause.

Due to the nature of these perfumes, Items Purchased, will not be returned or asked for refund, once disclaimer has been read – as the consumer is notified that:
Consumer was made aware of the specific defects; and
Agreement is made that items are received in that condition, as mentioned above
A guarantee on items purchased can’t be ranted that all fragrances purchased are reject free hence reduced price and TAKEN ON OWN RISK. Hence being called AAA grade Imported fragrances
You the consumer agree to the extent permitted by law to indemnify us against any loss or damage suffered or liability incurred by reason of any act or omission on your part of any third party acting on your behalf in connection with your use of our fragrances/products or services.
IMPORTANT:
These are reject fragrances for people who do not want to pay the High Retail Price, due to their own skin dissolving the alcohol up very quickly, and they have to spritz the original local retail bought one in any case more than once a day, OR would like to purchase these as great gifts for all year round! They Look & Smell the same & come sealed in their own IMPORTED branded box but you might perhaps in some cases have to spritz them again at lunch time. Or they might have a small defect to the bottle, or packaging. If that’s a hassle then please rather buy from your Retailer at the FULL price. These are ideal for everyday use, and much affordable.

Why are our prices cheaper?
We buy direct in bulk and sell direct to ensure you get the best possible price
Our products are sourced from overseas from markets featuring a much greater economy of scale.
By sourcing the products cheaply and cutting out local wholesalers, we can offer you better prices.
For many consumers, the lower prices are worth the “back door” implications.
Choose the perfume option at a fraction of the cost? These are Proper Alcohol based perfumes (NOT water or oil based) which are boxed and sealed in their own original packaging.
They look and smell like the normal perfume we all know and love (They just don’t quite last as long) because they are reject perfumes, either caused during manufacturing or shipment, or almost close to their expiry date (although Alcohol based Perfumes can last up between 5-8 years)
Harpers Boutique is an online Family based business, which means we do not have a walk in store, but we do courier all over South Africa. WE ARE BASED IN PORT ELIZABETH, AND WORK IN A OFFICE ENVIRONMENT, where to also our perfumes are stored in a store house, SO ALL PERFUMES ARE COURIERED DIRECTLY TO OUR CUSTOMER’S. DIRECTLY FROM OUR WAREHOUSE, WHICH DOES NOT HAVE A WALK IN FACILITY.
Should we have a situation arise where the item you purchase is out of stock and is unavailable within the usual delivery period we will contact you and notify you of the situation. You will then be given the option of either waiting for the item or requesting an alternative fragrance.
Please provide FULL PHYSICAL ADDRESS and NOT your P.O. Box address.
Please ensure someone is present during office hours to collect the items at the address provided. Should nobody be available to receive your parcel at the provided address, the delivery will be delayed.
To avoid unnecessary delays, kindly ensure that the address provided is correct. The address should be as complete as possible, containing amongst others and where applicable – full name and contact details, department, floor, building, number and street name, housing complex name, unit number, suburb and city.
For regional areas, delivery can take up to 10 working days after being dispatched.

In certain un for seen cases, a perfume may go out of stock after ordering – there for a replacement fragrance will be asked of the same value, as we do not do refunds!(this also may cause a delivery delay of a day or two)
All orders get processed every morning at 7am – if you order at 9pm, it will only be processed the following morning at 7am
Delivery takes between 3 – 7 working days – from processing your order, as processing may take up to 3 days, to be picked, packed, wrapped and sealed to be sent out for delivery, and also due to courier services also having backed up deliveries or behind schedule
When dispatched for delivery, a waybill tracking number will be sent for you to track your parcel
A tracking “proof” will be sent, please check your tracking – as we do not always have the time in between to check everyone’s parcel’s daily
